Job Title: Simulation Engineer Job Description We are seeking a talented Simulation Engineer to build system simulation models that analyze core vehicle functional objectives, with a focus on fuel economy, efficiency, range, and performance. You will develop and manage tools that translate vehicle functional objectives to system and sub-system level requirements. Your role will involve using Python or MATLAB for automation and data processing related to simulation workflows. You will also have the opportunity to develop or identify new technologies, strategies, and methods for improving energy efficiency and performance in current and future vehicles. Responsibilities + Build system simulation models to analyze core vehicle functional objectives, focusing on fuel economy, efficiency, range, and performance. + Develop and manage tools for translating vehicle functional objectives to system and sub-system level requirements. + Use Python or MATLAB for automation and data processing related to simulation workflows. + Identify and develop new technologies, strategies, and methods to improve energy efficiency and vehicle performance. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering. + Minimum of 2 years of experience in system simulation with a focus on energy management and longitudinal performance. + Experience in model-based engineering, preferably using MATLAB/Simulink. + Experience using 1D modeling software, preferably GT-Suite, to support vehicle and propulsion system development. + Foundational knowledge of electrified propulsion system components, including electric motors, power conversion systems, high voltage batteries, engines, transmissions, charging electronics, and control systems. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to clearly explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical collaborators. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficiency in modeling software and system simulation. + Expertise in automotive simulation. + Strong skills in Python or MATLAB.
