Summary

The Signals Processing Engineer will design, develop, and implement advanced signal processing solutions to support cutting‑edge RF, satellite communications, and software‑defined radio systems. This role blends hands‑on engineering, algorithm implementation, and system‑level problem‑solving, requiring a strong foundation in RF analysis, software development, and Linux‑based environments. The engineer will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to architect robust, scalable, and high‑performance signal processing capabilities.

Position Responsibilities

Analyze, process, and interpret RF signals across a variety of operational scenarios.

Design, develop, and integrate signal processing algorithms into production‑ready software.

Implement systems and applications within Linux environments, ensuring reliability and performance.

Develop and maintain message queue–based communication frameworks for distributed systems.

Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to integrate DSP components into larger architectures.

Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of DSP systems, SDR components, and RF processing pipelines.

Document system designs, interfaces, and implementation details to support long‑term maintainability.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, and experience

Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience

Experience in RF signals analysis

Experience with message queue implementation and communication frameworks

Ability to design, develop, and implement systems within a Linux environment

Demonstrated experience coding with C++ and Python

Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies

Background in Digital Signal Processing with strong understanding of satellite communications system design, theory, and software implementation

Experience with DSP hardware and software development tools (digitizers, development kits, IDEs)

Experience creating or integrating components with software‑defined radio (SDR) development suites such as GNURadio or X‑Midas

Familiarity integrating signal processing technologies into virtual (VMWare) and containerized (Docker/Kubernetes) environments

Salary Range: $160,000 - $198,000

The AV pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
