Decal Installer / Vinyl Graphics Technician

Location: Fargo, ND

Pay Range: $20–$25 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Travel: Some overnight travel required

🎨 Position Overview

The Decal Installer / Vinyl Graphics Technician plays a key role in producing, preparing, and installing vinyl graphics for a wide range of customer applications. This position combines craftsmanship, precision, and mechanical aptitude. Work takes place both in-shop and at off-site customer locations, requiring comfort with travel and occasional work at elevated heights.

🛠️ Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork with a variety of vinyl and laminate materialsOperate plotters to cut vinyl graphics and decalsWeed (peel) vinyl graphics with accuracy and efficiencyPre-mask decals by handUse hand tools such as X-Acto knives for precise trimmingAssemble multi-piece graphics and decal setsOperate laminating equipment for printed graphicsClean and prepare surfaces prior to installationAlign and place graphics according to specificationsApply decals using proper squeegee techniques for smooth, bubble-free resultsPerform post-installation steps including reheating, trimming, and re-squeegeeingInstall decals on a variety of surfaces, both on-site and off-siteMaintain tools, equipment, and work areas to company standardsComplete required documentation (forms, logs, reports)Participate in training and maintain job knowledge through ongoing learning🧰 Additional ResponsibilitiesApply decals to sign faces at elevated heights using a bucket truck (non-essential duty)Assist with training when needed (no direct supervisory responsibilities)🎓 QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required1–3 years of related experience or equivalent trainingStrong mechanical aptitudeValid driver’s license requiredAbility to travel, including occasional overnight staysAbility to read and follow written instructions and technical documentsBasic math skills, including use of rulers, tape measures, and levelsAbility to troubleshoot and resolve installation challenges💪 Physical RequirementsRegular standing, walking, reaching, and handling materialsFrequent stooping, kneeling, and crouchingOccasional sittingAbility to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally🌟 What Makes This a Great OpportunityFamily‑oriented work environmentSteady Monday–Friday scheduleHands‑on, creative, and technical workVariety of in-shop and field installation tasks🏭 Work EnvironmentWork performed both indoors and off-site at customer locationsExposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, and heatModerate noise levelsIndependent travel required

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
