Job Summary
As an Associate or Vice President in the Short-Term Interest Rate Trading team, you will work closely with senior traders to cover institutional accounts and make markets in your product group. You will assist in managing risk, liquidity, and exposure, and support all aspects of the trading desk, including pre-trade analysis, research, trade processing, and strategy design for large transactions. You will monitor market developments and supply-demand dynamics to provide clients with timely and accurate product information.
Job Responsibilities
Price client trades and facilitate execution Hedge risks to trades and the trading book, including duration, curve, swap spreads, futures, and on/off-the-run risk Develop and enhance desk infrastructure for risk management and P&L reporting Collaborate with the desk to develop analytics for relative value trading in both cash and derivative products Manage operational duties related to P&L, risk reporting, and ad hoc projects or data requestsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Minimum 1 year of trading experience or 3+ years of fixed income quantitative research experience (required) Bachelor’s degree Strong interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated interest in financial markets and macro products Ability to accept direction and feedback, and consistently meet time-sensitive deadlinesPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or STEM discipline is preferred Basic understanding of interest rate derivatives and cash products Proficiency with Excel and Python
