About the role:

The Shop Technician I primarily works in the shop making repairs to oilfield equipment as required. 

Additional Information: 

Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position. Starting Pay: $18.90, additional based on experienceSchedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 24/7 on callOvertime based on business need

What you will do:

Provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service  Effectively demonstrate the core values of SPM Oil & Gas at all times  Assemble and break down, clean new or used equipment, inspect, repair and test grease and paint equipment  Read and follow standard operating procedures  Execute general shop maintenance such as cleanup of the shop, work area, and equipment  Perform shipping and receiving responsibilities  Be responsible for the safety of self and others including reporting of all work-related injuries, near misses, equipment damage and unsafe acts to supervisor or senior technician as soon as practicable Troubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test equipment based on customer communications  Maintain SPM Oil & Gas company supplied assets and any other equipment, including site specific equipment, as it relates to company policy  Maintain a professional appearance and work attitude at all times  Demonstrate the ability to perform independently or in a team setting  Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance  Exhibit and advocate exemplary safety culture at all times  Exhibit a high degree of integrity at all times  Adhere to and exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change  Performs other duties as assigned  

What you will have:

Physical Demands:

Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department 

Work Environment:

Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration Noise Level: Moderate 

Summary Pay Range:

$18.90 - $25.30
