**Job Title: Shop Supervisor - $28 - $32/hr** **Job Description** As a Shop Supervisor, you will oversee the shift operations of a structural steel fabrication plant. You will manage parts making equipment, supply parts to various departments, and oversee assembly, welding, and coatings operations for small fabrication pieces. **Responsibilities** + Supervise the entire structural steel fabrication plant during your shift. + Manage the supply of parts to other departments and oversee assembly, welding, and coatings operations. + Communicate effectively with team members and other supervisors to ensure smooth operations. + Lead, motivate, and inspire employees to work within a team environment. + Implement machine uptime strategies, standard operating procedures, and preventative maintenance procedures. + Interpret data to make informed decisions despite incomplete information. + Foster a fast-paced, change-oriented workplace and delegate tasks appropriately. + Balance task-orientation with a concern for people, adopting a practical, production-focused leadership style. + Address quality issues and take the lead in eliminating root causes of in-shop errors. + Develop training programs for cross-training and re-training employees. + Plan daily tasks for the department based on labor estimates. + Conduct weekly crew meetings focused on safety, production planning, quality, and company policies. + Participate in weekly meetings with Plant Manager and other supervisors. + Communicate daily with other supervisors, assigning tasks and following up on them. + Re-deploy manpower based on the production plan. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in structural steel fabrication is a must have. + Knowledge of ISO standards and safety procedures. + Familiarity continuous improvement processes. + Strong interpersonal and management skills. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $66560.00/yr. - Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) - Disability - Short/long term - PTO 40 hours and 40 unexcused hours - Discount program **Workplace Type** This is a fully onsite position in Greenville,SC. **Application Deadline** This position is anticipated to close on May 12, 2025. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
