Keller is actively searching for a qualified Shop Pump Mechanic to join our team in Rockaway, NJ. Keller is one of the largest geotechnical construction companies in the United States offering competitive wages and opportunities for growth.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include the following:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of industrial pump systems. (diesel, electric, vacuum, centrifugal, and submersible)Ability to work independently in performing repairs and maintenance, strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electronicsTroubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and efficiently, analytical ability to find solutions to difficult technical problemsMaintains service recordsOther duties as required (welding, fabricating, etc.)The available position is shop based and reports to a Shop Supervisor and/or onsite project Superintendent.
Qualifications Two or more years of experience in truck, trailer, and heavy diesel equipment repair and maintenanceHigh school graduate or show equivalent trainingEfficiently perform electrical and hydraulic diagnosticsApplicant must be a self-motivated individual and demonstrate significant attention-to-detail at all timesASE Certification and basic computer skills to perform service reporting are desirableExperience with heavy drill rigs (Klemm, SoilMec, and or Watson) used in geotechnical construction a plusAbility to safely operate basic heavy equipment including forklifts, wheeled front end loaders, and excavators is also a plusAbility to work in a team environment with interpersonal communication skillsAbility to perform physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks; to include frequent bending, kneeling and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs Prior OSHA, First Aid, and/or Safety Training preferredAbility to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen. Additional InformationSalary Range: Union rates between $35 to $40 per hour
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law
