**Job Title: Shop Mechanic** **Job Description** As a Shop Mechanic, you will manage warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, organization, and tracking of roofing materials and equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and coordinating with project managers to meet material needs. Additionally, you will prepare and stage materials for daily jobsite deliveries, uphold warehouse cleanliness and safety, and perform routine maintenance and repairs on small engines like generators, cutters, and compressors. **Responsibilities** + Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, organizing, and tracking roofing materials and equipment. + Maintain accurate inventory levels and coordinate with project managers for material needs. + Prepare and stage materials for daily jobsite deliveries. + Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and equipment storage. + Perform routine maintenance and small engine repairs on generators, cutters, compressors, etc. + Assist with equipment inspections, minor repairs, and maintain equipment documentation. **Essential Skills** + Experience in small engine repair. + Experience in roofing, construction, or warehouse management. + Forklift experience or certification. + Familiarity with roofing materials and equipment. + Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with single ply membrane roofing. + Proficiency with power tools such as hammers. + Construction experience. **Why Work Here?** Join a highly reputable roofing contractor in the Greater Rochester Region, known for its prestigious projects with hospitals, colleges, and commercial clients.
