Shop Mechanic
**Job Title: Shop Worker** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled shop mechanic to join our team, focusing on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing ILI (In Line Inspection) tool components in our shop located on the northwest side of Indianapolis. **Responsibilities** + Read blueprints and schematics to build, rebuild, and repair ILI tool components. + Inspect for internal and external corrosion or other damage. + Assist in prepping, launching, and receiving in line inspection tools. + Maintain a clean working environment in the shop, prioritizing safety. + Communicate effectively with the shop supervisor and other maintenance team members. **Essential Skills** + Ability to perform the physical demands of the job. + Excellent communication skills. + Proficient with Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook). + Capability to lift 50+ pounds independently. + Solid job tenure without large gaps. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 1-2+ years of previous maintenance experience. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy full benefits after permanent employment, including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, STD, and LTD. Expect to plan for 10-hour days. The shop is clean, and all tools are provided. Employees are encouraged to keep the shop tidy and return tools after use. Although primarily in the shop, occasional travel may be necessary to pick up specialized equipment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
