Job Description
As a Shop Manager, you will lead and drive improvement efforts in all manufacturing activities. You will troubleshoot current machine jobs, fixturing, tooling, and more. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and scheduling labor and machine resources across all shifts to meet production goals. This includes scheduling overtime work, CNC programming, and ensuring all required tooling and fixturing is available. You will review, adjust, and provide technical assistance throughout the production process while mentoring and training new personnel.
Responsibilities
Lead and drive improvements in overall manufacturing activities, including troubleshooting with machine jobs, fixturing, and tooling.Monitor and schedule labor and machine resources to meet weekly and monthly production goals.Schedule overtime work, CNC programming, and all required tooling and fixturing.Provide review, adjustments, and technical assistance throughout the production process.Mentor and train new personnel within the department.Manage CNC Machinists, Welders, CNC Programmers, scheduler, and Preventative Maintenance staff.Essential Skills
5+ years of manufacturing experience.2+ years experience with high-level capabilities of CNC machines and welding equipment.Proven experience as a Shop Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.Experience in Aerospace industry preferred.Strong management and supervisory skills.Proficiency in CNC programming, lathe programming, mill programming, and precision machining.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and models.CAD experience is preferred.Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to develop creative solutions to issues.Experience in a manufacturing aerospace or tight tolerance machine shop is preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled and very clean machine shop with new machinery. The first shift hours are Monday through Friday, starting between 6-8 am.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
