Job Description
As a Shop Laborer, you will be responsible for cleaning welds on parts using a mild acid, rinsing, and applying a neutralizing solution to ensure cleanliness before shipment. You will assist in preparing parts coming off the machines, specifically for food processing equipment, and handle washing parts. The role involves frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs, utilizing handheld grinders for grinding, polishing, and finishing parts, and learning to read and interpret basic blueprints if necessary. You will also stack parts on carts and pallets, sort items into inventory using a cart, and use small pencil grinders. The work is repetitive, often handling up to 100 parts at a time, and requires a mechanically inclined individual to take care of various shop duties.

Work Environment
You will work in a very clean, climate-controlled, and well-lit facility. The production floor houses about 15 other employees, although you will be the only person in your specific department, you will be within 10 feet of your colleagues. The work schedule is primarily 1st shift, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with potential extensions to 5:30 pm, and occasional mandatory shifts on Saturdays from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm. Be open to working up to 55 hours a week during the busy season.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
