Job Title: Shop Helper

Job Description

Join our team in the flexible manufacturing system (FMS) area, where you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of machines including the S4/P4 Salvagnini machine, spot welder, brake press, and Haeger machines. This role requires versatility and the ability to perform multiple tasks throughout the day.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate machines such as the S4/P4 Salvagnini, spot welder, brake press, and Haeger.Conduct inspections every 15 minutes using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.Multi-task and operate various machines simultaneously.

Essential Skills

Experience as a machine operator and sheet metal fabricator.Programming and hardware skills.Knowledge of spot welding and press brake operations.Ability to read and understand work orders.Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.Willingness to stand for 10 hours throughout the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Blueprint reading experience.Fabrication experience.Familiarity with PEM set and Wiedemann machines.Experience with injection molding is not preferred.

Work Environment

This is a third shift position running from 6am to 6pm, Friday through Sunday. The facility is air-conditioned, though it can get warm near the ovens. You will primarily work with thinner sheet metal, 18 gauge, in an automated setting. The spot welder is conveniently suspended from the ceiling for ease of movement. Teamwork and independence are both valued, with a small group working in the FMS area. Cleanliness and organization are critical due to frequent customer tours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
