**Job Title: Shop Assistant with WEEKLY pay!** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Shop Assistant to join our team. The role involves performing rebuilds on iron and surface tools, as well as engaging in manual labor. You will have the opportunity to work on the full cylinders bench and test station. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM or 7 AM to 5 PM. **Responsibilities** + Perform a variety of duties to support the shop and office areas. + Clean up all trash and organize jobs, skids, and other objects. + Mop and sweep floors in the shop and office areas. + Unload trucks using a forklift. + Deliver and pick up parts for job orders. + Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments. + Abide by current laws and organizational policies to promote a harassment-free workplace. + Support adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety. + Report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested. + Respond to inquiries from customers and other personnel within given time frames and established policies. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical and construction skills. + Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. + Forklift operation skills. + General labor and production skills. + Mechanically inclined. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Clean driving record is required after the assignment wraps up. **Why Work Here?** We offer opportunities for advancement and training on skilled positions, such as working on the full cylinder and test stations, for those who demonstrate initiative and dedication. **Work Environment** The work environment is a shop setting, where you will be working on and around iron.
