Immediate Hiring: Temporary Pipefitters – PSNS-RB-Shop 99

Pay: $22/hour

Location: Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS), Shop 99

Clearance Required: Secret Security Clearance

Start Date: Targeting mid way through November

About the Role

We’re urgently seeking skilled temporary pipefitters to join our team at PSNS-RB-Shop 99. This is a hands-on opportunity to work in a dynamic shipyard environment, supporting critical operations aboard surface ships, submarines, dry docks, and piers.

You’ll be responsible for interpreting technical diagrams, planning pipe layouts, and installing or modifying valves and piping systems. If you thrive in fast-paced, technical environments and have a strong grasp of trade math and ventilation standards, we want to hear from you.

Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret blueprints, sketches, and technical manualsPlan and execute pipe system layouts and repairsInspect and test piping, valves, hangers, and hardwareCalculate flow rates and volumes using trade mathInstall and remove temporary pipe services across shipyard locationsApply ventilation standards and method trade requirementsRequired Skills & QualificationsAbility to read and interpret technical documentsSolid understanding of trade mathematics and formulasFamiliarity with ventilation requirements and trade standardsKnowledge of equipment and systems installationMust have Secret clearanceShipyard experience is a strong plusWhy Join Us?Gain experience in a high-impact, defense-related environmentWork on diverse projects in shops, ships, and outdoor settingsWork Environment

Expect a mix of indoor and outdoor work across shipyard facilities. Adaptability is key, tasks may take place aboard vessels, in dry docks, or within specialized shops

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
