Shipyard Labor/Firewatch/General Labor - Pay 22/hr
**Job Title: General Laborer/Shipyard Labor** **Job Description** We are looking for a dedicated General Laborer to perform a variety of essential duties and services, including cleaning the yard, delivering materials, setting up for specified work on vessels, preparing vessel surfaces, performing fire watch and hole watch duties, assisting in docking and undocking vessels, and supporting other shipyard workers and trades as needed. You will also assist with fire-watch duties, including setting up containment, equipment, leads, blowers, and ventilation, and cleaning work areas as directed by the on-site lead. **Responsibilities** + Perform general laborer duties such as cleaning the yard and preparing vessel surfaces. + Assist in docking and undocking vessels and support other shipyard workers. + Conduct fire watch and hole watch duties, ensuring safety and compliance. + Set up containment, equipment, leads, blowers, and ventilation for fire-watch assistance. + Disassemble minor and major mechanical equipment using basic standard tools. + Fabricate and assemble various insulating systems, including cutting, shaping, positioning, alignment, and mounting on piping systems and ventilation ducting. **Essential Skills** + Experience in general labor, firewatch, and ship repair. + Proficiency with hand tools, cable pullers, mechanical and power tools. + Ability to clean up and remove debris effectively. + OSHA 10 certification. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to obtain a DBIDS. + Completion of OSHA/FW and RADCON training prior to starting. + Previous shipyard laborer experience is preferred. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values hard work and dedication and provides opportunities for growth and learning.
