Essential Responsibilities

Weekend Shift Hours: 7am-7pm, Days: Friday, Saturday, SundayShips components and/or finished products within and outside facility.Performs basic tasks related to material handling in various stages of manufacturing including but not limited to counting, bagging, tagging, packing and shipping of materialsOperate Forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items safely and efficientlyValidates cycle counts and paperwork including reconciliation of discrepant countsManual transfer of material between processes and/or locationsProvides training and mentoring for other employees as requiredCoordinates logistics and 3rd party transportationPerforms other routine procedures within similar situations resulting in standardized but not identical outcomesUtilizes written or visual instructions based on standard operating proceduresProvide written and/or oral communications concerning a variety of situationsAssists in physical inventory countsKeeps workstation, tools and equipment in a neat and orderly mannerUnderstands and complies with all safety rules and regulationsEngages and participates in a self-directed teaming environmentMaintain accurate work records.Support our team concept and learn/perform other duties as required.Communicate effectively and professionally with others.Follow and promote safe work practices.Support LEAN initiatives.Lift light to medium weight in an environment that may occasionally require crouching, stooping and/or awkward work positions.
 

Requirements include.

High School diploma or equivalent.1+ year of warehouse and or manufacturing shop material management.1+ year of data entry and retrieval into a material management or formal ERP systemBasic computer skillPrevious fork truck driving experience or the ability to be trained and licensed to operate fork trucks and pallet moving equipment safelyMust be able to lift up to 30lbsMust be willing to stand for long periods of time.Skills required in simple mathematical counting

Desirable characteristics

Experience working in stockroom, shipping or receiving functionsFork-Lift Driver License and experienceTruck loading experienceExperience in a manufacturing environmentExperience in a self-directed teaming environmentLean manufacturing/continuous improvement knowledgeValid driver's licenseGood analytical and problem-solving skills
