Job Description
Join a dynamic team of three currently managing shipping and receiving operations. As a Coordinator, you will provide vital administrative support, ensuring smooth logistics operations by accurately entering inbound and outbound shipments into the ERP system.
ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support to the logistics team.Enter incoming and outgoing orders into the ERP system based on communication from demand planners, sales emails, and word of mouth.Utilize knowledge of freight, ocean, and air logistics, with hazmat handling being a significant advantage.Analyze transportation and distribution systems to ensure efficient delivery of products.Review proposals and recommend modifications in rates and transportation regulations.Evaluate freight classifications and tariff rates for operating efficiency.Plan and coordinate fleet operations, including acquisition, scheduling, maintenance, service and repair, and disposal of trucks.Hire common carriers as needed.Essential SkillsExperience in data entry within an ERP system.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Knowledge of transportation and distribution systems.Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsSpecialized education or training in logistics or transportation.Experience with administrative support tasks.Understanding of freight classifications and tariff rates.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
