Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join their team. As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk, you will be part of the logistics department supporting the overall operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully with the organization.
**Job Title:** Shipping/Receiving Clerk
**Location:** Milwaukie, OR
**Pay Range:** $20-$23/hr DOE
**Shift:** Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
**What's the Job?**
+ Ensure material flow for assembly cells, WIP markets, and machining cells across the plant.
+ Replenish parts in workstations using a tugger cart and deliver material to proper inventory locations.
+ Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying shipments against packing slips and escalating discrepancies.
+ Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and identify opportunities to enhance processes.
+ Adhere to all safety programs and policies, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
**What's Needed?**
+ High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
+ Previous receiving experience preferred.
+ Knowledge of proper use of pallet jacks, forklifts, and hoists (training/certification available).
+ Ability to understand and follow written and oral procedures/instructions.
+ Excellent critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
