Job Description

As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will complete packaging work orders as assigned, ensuring adherence to defined requirements. You will operate electronic counting scales, heat sealers, and automated packaging machines while maintaining inventory integrity and recording final inventory counts upon work order completion. Upholding workmanship standards and conducting codes is essential.

ResponsibilitiesComplete packaging work orders according to defined requirements.Stop work order processing upon identifying nonconforming conditions.Operate electronic counting scales, heat sealers, and automated packaging machines.Maintain inventory integrity and record final inventory counts.Conduct general housekeeping in the packaging area.Adhere to workmanship standards and conduct codes.Essential SkillsMinimum 2+ years of warehouse experience in a shipping environment.Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and sense of urgency.Basic computer and mathematical skills.Working knowledge of ERP systems for shipping, including NetSuite, Sightline, AS400.Order picking experience using paper pick tickets.Understanding of lot number integrity and verification of alpha/numeric part numbers.Experience in handling third-party, pre-paid, or consignee shipping.Ability to pack orders by counting individual pieces or using a digital scale.Capability to fulfill orders according to customer standards and requirements.Ability to handle heavy weight and work on feet for up to 8 hours.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with multi-tasking and handling various tasks simultaneously.Ability to quickly change directions to provide high-level customer service.Experience with material handling equipment, including forklift equipment.Small package shipping experience with FedEx, UPS, and DHL.Proficiency in printing shipping labels and international shipping documentation.Experience with workplace safety practices.Process-oriented experience in a fast-paced, production-driven shipping environment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Join our team with one shipping clerk position available on the first shift from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, currently operating summer hours Monday through Thursday and shorter hours on Fridays. The work environment is clean, climate-controlled, and fosters a culture of accountability and long-term employment. You will work independently with a small team in a general warehouse setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wauconda, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
