What You’ll Do
As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will:
Support a strong workplace safety culture by following all safety policies in storeroom and shipping/receiving areas
Process material transactions and shipping demands triggered by MRP and project requests
Use MRP systems and handheld scanners to verify receipts, packing, consolidations, and shipping accuracy
Help drive continuous improvement across storeroom and logistics processes
Participate in training to stay current on Emerson systems and material flow procedures
Kit multi‑component lines according to MRP requirements
Assist with periodic cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace through 5S practices
Perform general department tasks and other duties as assigned
What You Need to Succeed
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to use handheld scanners
Strong communication skills and comfort working with teammates—including those in remote locations
Ability to stand for most of the workday and lift up to 49 lbs
Ability to climb stairs/ladders and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, bending, squatting, and reaching
Familiarity with material handling equipment (pallet jacks, stacker lifts, pallet wrapping equipment)
Comfort working around moving equipment and willingness to be trained on proper use
Preferred Qualifications
2–3 years of experience in shipping/receiving, product fulfillment, or warehouse operations
Experience working in a high-mix, medium‑volume production environment
Prior use of powered equipment: forklifts, pallet jacks, stacker lifts, pallet wrappers
Knowledge of modern pick/pack/ship technologies and logistics processes
