The Shipping & Receiving Admin is responsible for preparing bills of lading, communicating with carriers regarding trailer pick-up schedules, and ensuring timely deliveries to our stores. You will also be responsible for accurately updating asset information in the Yard Management System (YMS), ensuring all cartons have been loaded in good status, and accurately completing manifests. In addition, this position will resolve internal issues related to missing or problem cartons. This position requires a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Responsibilities Preparing bills of lading and manifestsCommunicating with carriers, transportation and account executives regarding trailer pick-up schedules, and ensuring timely deliveries to storesUtilizing databases including WMOS, YMS, and Microsoft Office, including Word and ExcelClosing and releasing trailers at specified cut-off timesAssisting with departmental work flow as needed by the supervisor and management staffProperly following company and OSHA safety proceduresFollowing up on missing cartonsCommunicating issues or problems quickly to supervisors and operations managersAssisting in resolving issues and solving problems by making suggestions and partnering with supervisors, operations managers, and other departmentsAssisting in scanning non-conveyables onto trailersAssisting in loading trailers as neededDemonstrate positive customer service and team-oriented demeanorAll other duties as assignedBasic proficiency in speaking and understanding English* to comprehend safety instructions, participate in safety drills and effectively communicate in case of emergencies.

Required to sit (stationary position) at a computer workstation and/or desk for a full shift.Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required communicate using various methods.Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling and moving weights of 5 – 25 pounds constantly and up to 65 pounds occasionally.Must have ability to reach above/below shoulder level for up to two-thirds of a full shift and also perform tasks involving repetitive motion for a full shift.Based on business necessity associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations that require different physical demands. Qualifications Associates degree or higher preferredMinimum of 6 months previous experience in a similar role requiredComprehensive experience working with Microsoft Office including ExcelHigh level language and math skillsMust demonstrate adequate knowledge of current systemsAbility to respond with a sense of urgency and work in a fast paced environmentUse independent judgment and be self-motivatedAbility to enter data into multiple databasesDetail-oriented
