**Job Title: Shipping Clerk** Job Description The Shipping Clerk is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within the grain facility, including tasks such as cleaning bins, washing walls, and general housekeeping. You will ensure that loading and unloading areas remain tidy and functional. Opportunities for cross-training in various roles such as loading, unloading, and paperwork handling are available for those who excel in their duties. Responsibilities + Clean and sweep out grain bins. + Wash walls and equipment. + Maintain general housekeeping of the facility. + Keep loading and unloading areas clean. + Check fire extinguishers to ensure they are operational. + Perform tasks involving pushing a broom and lifting up to 50 lbs. + Work both independently and as part of a team, maintaining motivation. Essential Skills + Experience in general labor or farm work. + Comfortable working at heights and in underground tunnels. + Ability to lift 50 lbs. + Experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control. + Proficiency in handling outdoor work conditions. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience as a farm hand. + Knowledge of the grain industry. + Skid steer experience. + Steel toe boots are required. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is located in a grain and corn facility where local farmers bring their corn for processing. You will work predominantly outdoors, exposed to varying weather conditions. **The facility operates on a first shift schedule from 6:45 am to 3:15 pm, with extended hours during harvest season. Steel toe shoes are required, and appropriate clothing for outdoor work is recommended.** The position aims to keep work hours under 60 per week, ensuring at least one day off per week. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of **New Haven, Indiana.** **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
