Job Title: Production Associate

Job Description

This role is responsible for setting up and operating equipment that blends, mixes, packages, and transports liquid or dry chemicals. This role ensures the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost, while meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements.

ResponsibilitiesSet up, start, and run all machinery, ensuring adherence to operating and safety procedures as well as ISO standards.Weigh ingredients to meet recipe specifications and insert them into machinery, or ensure the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area and insert pre-blended materials into machinery.Monitor production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation and troubleshoot equipment and processing issues.Operate machinery to mix, extrude, discharge, or handle materials according to operating procedures.Examine materials visually or physically to ensure conformance with established standards.Take samples of materials to the lab for evaluation and instructions on any batch adjustments if needed.Refer issues or problems to Production Lead or Production/Shift Supervisor for resolution.Perform all required machine cleaning.Complete and maintain all required system inputs and transactions, ensuring data integrity.Document work completed including logs, data reports, and procedures.Participate in training, retraining, and continual improvement processes and methods.Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations, maintaining departmental housekeeping standards.Essential SkillsExperience in production and manufacturing.Knowledge of powders, mixing, and batching processes.Ability to set up and operate equipment for blending, mixing, packaging, and transporting chemicals.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with ISO standards and safety procedures.Work Environment

The work environment frequently exposes employees to marked changes in temperature and humidity, dust, fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level can be loud. This position is very active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. Employees must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds, and be able to lift, push, or pull up to 200 lbs with the aid of equipment. The role requires standing or walking for a 10-hour shift and the ability to communicate orally and in writing.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
