**Job Title: Shipping and Warehousing Specialist**
**Job Description**
Join our dynamic team as a Shipping and Warehousing Specialist at a leading steel manufacturing company. You will be responsible for handling shipping and warehousing functions, utilizing material handling equipment to move steel coils, load and unload trucks, and stage products for shipment. Your role will also involve materials movement to keep production lines running smoothly.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate material handling equipment to move steel coils within the facility.
+ Load and unload trucks as required.
+ Stage products for movement around the facility or shipment.
+ Ensure continuous materials movement to keep production lines operational.
+ Use overhead cranes for heavy lifting, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted when necessary.
+ Complete paperwork and documentation tasks accurately.
+ Work both independently and as part of a team.
+ Follow supervision directions or adjust based on scheduling and product needs.
**Essential Skills**
+ Overhead Crane operation (1+ year experience required).
+ Forklift operation (1+ year experience required).
+ Manufacturing work experience (2+ years preferred).

**Work Environment**
Experience working in a large steel manufacturing setting with a small to medium-sized company feel. **First shift hours are from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with potential extension to 4:30 pm for 10-hour shifts but will try and give 24 hour notice before 10 hour shift. Third shift hours are from 10 pm to 6 am, starting at 8 pm for 10-hour shifts. Training on the first shift is provided for two weeks.** Dress code includes jeans, steel toe shoes, and long shirts or sleeves, with gloves, arm sleeves, and hard hats provided.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of **Garrett, Indiana.**
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
