Shipping Associate

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated Shipping Associate to join their team. As a Shipping Associate, you will be an essential part of the operations support team, ensuring the smooth handling and documentation of all shipped and received materials. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.
**Job Title:** Shipping Associate
**Location:** Clare, MI
**Pay Range:** $15.50
**Shift:** 8 am - 4 pm
overtime is scheduled prior to shift start time. overtime can be heavy including Saturdays
**What's the Job?**
+ Manage shipping, receiving, and the accounting of all materials to and from the client site
+ Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments accurately
+ Prepare items for shipment by packaging and labeling securely
+ Record shipment details such as quantity, description, size, and job number
+ Ensure proper storage and transportation of materials, adhering to safety standards
**What's Needed?**
+ High School Diploma or GED required
+ Forklift experience is required
+ At least 1 year of experience in an industrial shipping role preferred
+ Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
