Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Shipping and Receiving Specialist to manage the daily operations of incoming and outgoing shipments, including hazardous materials. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with DOT Hazmat regulations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting production and customer delivery timelines.

ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation, especially for hazardous materials.Coordinate with freight carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory transactions in ERP or warehouse management systems.Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for handling and shipping hazardous materials.Safely store and segregate hazardous materials in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and audits.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.Collaborate with internal departments including Purchasing, Quality, and Production to ensure timely material flow.Essential SkillsKnowledge of DOT regulationsHazmat certificationExperience in shipping and receivingProficiency in inventory management systemsAdditional Skills & QualificationsForklift certificationExperience with international shipping and customs documentationFamiliarity with AS9100 quality standardsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing facility in Benicia, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break. The environment requires adherence to safety protocols and efficient use of warehouse equipment.

This is a Contract position based out of Benicia, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
