**Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Lead**
Job Description
As a Shipping and Receiving Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the logistics and coordination of our shipping and receiving operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and merchandise, utilizing your skills in inventory management, logistics, and customer communication.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee shipping and receiving activities, ensuring materials and merchandise are unloaded from incoming vehicles and stacked in assigned places.
+ Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
+ Identify damages, report shortages, or quality deficiencies.
+ Utilize RF scanners and inventory systems, performing a significant amount of computer work.
+ Operate sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes as needed.
+ Use Excel for data entry regarding shipments and raw materials.
+ Perform quality checks, logging information accurately.
+ Train team members on forklift operations.
+ Coordinate incoming and outgoing truck schedules.
+ Communicate with customers regarding outgoing shipments.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in forklift operation, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
+ Strong computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Excel.
+ Experience in material handling, logistics, and inventory control.
+ Ability to operate shipping and freight management software.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in freight and order pulling.
+ Strong skills in dispatch and production coordination.

Work Environment
Work during the 1st shift, with hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Join a team that values continuous improvement and process enhancement in a dynamic warehouse setting.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $28.58 - $28.58/hr.
