**Shipping and Receiving Handler - $18/hr - 1st Shift - Direct Placement** **Shift: 6:00am - 4:00pm** **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing the shipment and receipt of items, ensuring accurate data recording, and maintaining an efficient inventory system. **Responsibilities:** + Receive and send items for shipment, ensuring accurate record-keeping. + Accurately record data including weight and dimensions of shipments. + Correctly place labels on outgoing shipments to ensure proper identification. + Prepare necessary documentation such as bill of lading, work orders, and shipping orders. + Utilize scanners to maintain accurate inventory records. + Safely load and unload trucks, adhering to safety protocols. + Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate. **Essential Skills** + At least one year of previous shipping and receiving experience. + Ability to lift 50+ lbs throughout the shift. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. + Capability to perform basic shop math calculations. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with inventory management. + Forklift operation skills. **Why Work Here?** Experience a unique opportunity where mandatory overtime is rare, and internal promotions are encouraged.
