Keep Aerospace Operations Moving—From Dock to Delivery Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Wichita, KS | Full-Time Consultant (12 Months) | 2nd Shift

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support repair and service operations in Wichita, Kansas. This role is essential to ensuring repair orders are processed accurately, customer requirements are met, and aerospace components move through the system efficiently and on time.

The Role & Its Impact

As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will oversee the full lifecycle of repair orders—from purchase order placement to order closure in SAP. Your work directly impacts sales performance, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery, making you a key contributor to aerospace service operations.

This role is second shift (11:30 AM–8:00 PM), with training on first shift for at least one month prior to transitioning to second shift.

What You’ll Do Day to Day

In this role, you will:

Assist with verifying incoming shipments for accuracy and resolving discrepancies with customers and internal teams

Review and validate customer purchase order requirements prior to accepting work

Create quotes, sales orders, and service notifications in SAP to accurately reflect customer needs

Monitor and manage ongoing changes to SAP sales orders

Track inventory, billing, and reporting data and take appropriate corrective actions

Communicate regularly with internal teams and external customers to ensure alignment

Understand service contracts, customer requirements, and end-to-end process flow

Monitor work quality to ensure compliance with organizational standards

Use SAP reporting tools to generate customer-facing and internal reports

Administer customer portals and capture reported defects

Coordinate schedule-related items such as holidays, extra hours, and shift changes

Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed

Required Qualifications

AA/AS degree or other 2-year post–high school training

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
 

Prior experience in a role involving regular written and verbal communication with customers

Ability to work second shift following completion of first-shift training

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience using SAP or another ERP system

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Experience supporting repair, service center, logistics, or aerospace environments

Pay Details: $22.74 per hour
