Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Job Description

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will review inventory received each morning, handle parts weighing up to 50 lbs, and send them to the Quality department for inspection. The role involves repackaging parts while adhering to blueprint travelers to ensure proper details and quality control are maintained throughout the process. The individual will be responsible for counting parts ranging from 600-800 per day. Working in a team of 3-4 in the shipping and receiving department, the clerk will sort incoming UPS packages by department and recipient, and deliver them appropriately. Customers are located throughout the Bay Area, and the role requires inventory management experience. Duties include packing, shipping, counting inventory, and sending parts for delivery upon completion.

ResponsibilitiesAssume responsibility for packaging of product.Package, stock, and ship products to customers and suppliers as required, following SOP00008.Complete inventory audits as assigned by the Shipping Manager.Maintain inventory of shipping supplies.Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and orderly.Access inventory and orders using Vista Software for packaging requirements.Correctly identify and label products on packing slips for shipment.Determine and document correct packaging instructions on traveler.Receive UPS shipments and distribute them to appropriate recipients.Assume responsibility for delivery and pick up to customers and suppliers.Conduct regular vehicle maintenance and inspections.Keep vehicles clean, organized, and fueled as needed.Communicate any vehicle maintenance concerns to the Shipping Manager.Maintain communication with the Shipping Manager regarding any issues during delivery.Manage time wisely while out on deliveries.Follow all state laws while driving.Operate forklift for transporting product within the facility and to outside vendors for drop off and pick up.Perform other duties as assigned by the Shipping Manager.Essential SkillsExperience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control.Clean DMV record.Delivery driver experience from a different company.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and teamwork.Good communication skills.Ability to multitask.Manual dexterity.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift certification (certification can be obtained on site if expired).Knowledge and experience working in an ISO 9001 environment is a plus.Experience with cycle counts and inventory management.Knowledge of blueprint reading.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
