Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Shipping and Receiving Clerks to join our team at a facility in Troy. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations by managing the movement and stocking of materials.

ResponsibilitiesKeep materials stacked and move material throughout the facility.Stock the line when parts are running low.Fill and unload pallets and tubs.Maintain accurate counts of data.Pull materials to the dock to be sent out.

1st shift - 6am - 2:30 pm standard schedule. Right now they are working 6am-4:30/6:30 pm

Some saturdays are possible. Trying to limit Saturday but at times can be necessary.

$19.80-20.50/hr

Essential Skills1 year of warehouse experience.High attention to detail with quality and pride in work.Ability to lift, bend, and stretch throughout the entire shift, with the capacity to lift 50 - 75 pounds.Steel toe shoes/boots.Additional Skills & QualificationsSit down forklift experience preferred.Forklift certification preferred.Why Work Here?

Employees are offered a direct position after 90 days and enjoy a new pay increase after January 15th with yearly pay reviews. Holiday pay is provided once direct, along with double time on Sundays, 2 weeks vacation, and BCBS offered after 60 days of direct employment. A 401k plan is available, and PPE is paid for and provided. If contractors buy steel toe boots/shoes and keep the receipt, once direct, they receive a $100 reimbursement towards that. There's also the ability to be cross-trained and moved into different departments.

Work Environment

The work environment is a launch sequencing facility dedicated to Chrysler business within a recently remodeled 150,000 sq foot facility. Safety and cleanliness are emphasized in the cleanroom environment. The facility is equipped with 244 Fanuc Robots, sub assembly cells, flex cells, stand-alone cells, weld robots, and dispensing robots. It is a non-union plant where the plastics side operates on a just-in-time basis, while the metals side does not. Cell phones are not allowed on the floor. The standard shift is from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with extended hours currently from 6 am to 4:30/6:30 pm. Some Saturdays may be required, though efforts are made to limit them to partial shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $20.50/hr.
