Join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Associate where you will play a key role in managing the logistics and organization of our shipping department. This open-ended contract position offers the opportunity to grow into a driver role in the future. You will utilize computer systems for shipping labels and tracking parts, and operate forklifts efficiently in a dynamic environment.
ResponsibilitiesUnload materials, parts, supplies, tools, and equipment from carriers and company vehicles.Route items in receiving to proper destinations within the plant.Segregate discrepant items or shipments and process according to standard procedure.Identify materials, parts, tools, and items by marking, tagging, and/or coding.Operate forklifts and company trucks up to 1 ½ tons for local and LA area deliveries.Count, package, and protect parts and tooling for shipment, including constructing pallets and crates.Ensure safety in loading and unloading equipment/parts, securing loads to prevent damage or loss.Inspect lift trucks and company vehicles for tire, brake, light, gas, water, and oil conditions, and report any maintenance needs.Handle necessary paperwork, verifying pickup and delivery orders.Perform other duties as assigned or directed.Essential SkillsMinimum two years of experience in a manufacturing shipping and receiving environment.Proficiency in forklift operation and driving.Ability to accurately count and manage inventory.Possession of an acceptable motor vehicle record and a valid California Driver’s License.Capability to safely operate all company vehicles.Insurability and provision of a current Motor Vehicle Record.Ability to maintain computer logs and records.Proficiency in reading and writing English to fulfill job functions.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in shipping and receiving within a warehouse setting.Ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions from the Shop Supervisor.Why Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
