Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods in a fast-paced environment. Your schedule will be Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with some flexibility required for occasional early or late shifts.
ResponsibilitiesUnload trucks and deliveries, ensuring accurate receipt and verification of ingredients and materials integrity.Track, trace, and update the status of shipments, maintaining an accurate log of daily product moves, daily freezer inventory, and scanning inventory.Prepare items for shipment, print labels, and ensure accuracy of orders.Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including BOLs, invoices, and purchase orders.Collaborate with departments such as purchasing, warehouse, and transportation to ensure smooth operations.Address issues such as shortages or damaged goods during the shipping and receiving process.Interact with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate logistics and resolve issues.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to safety procedures.Essential SkillsStrong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.Excellent organizational skills to manage tasks in a small space.Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds, such as sacks of sugar and flour.Proficiency in multitasking and managing the Shipping and Receiving area.Team player attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond.Attention to detail when handling purchase orders and double-checking accuracy.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience using Electric Forklifts, Electric Pallet Jacks, and Scissor lifts is advantageous.Capability to work inside freezer environments.Completion of all daily forms, including the Daily Forklift Inspection Form.Bilingual skills are a plus; Spanish language proficiency will be considered favorably if accompanied by relevant experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will work in a hands-on environment utilizing technologies such as scan guns and implementing new programs. The facility operates on a FIFO basis and requires creativity and collaboration due to space constraints. Dress appropriately for working both indoors and outdoors, including freezer conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
