**Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist** **Pay Rate- $22/hr** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist with a strong background in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in shipping and receiving, with a keen understanding of import and export requirements. The ability to obtain forklift certification is essential. **Responsibilities** + Prepare customer orders for shipment both domestically and internationally. + Collaborate with Sales and Trade Compliance Teams on order releases. + Communicate shipment status with the Customer Service Team. + Prioritize daily shipments and transact shipments in the ERP system. + Generate shipping labels and ensure all export documents comply with international shipping regulations, export controls, and customs requirements. + Schedule pickups with customer carriers, track shipments, and resolve delivery issues or delays. + Organize the shipping area and receive incoming shipments, ensuring inspection of all materials. + Enter all required transactions in the ERP system, follow prioritization protocol and FIFO guidelines for inbound material. + Communicate receipt issues to appropriate personnel and transport materials to appropriate locations. + Verify all documentation is present and perform a 3-way match of quantities received with purchase orders and packing slips. + Record and report discrepancies or damages. + Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions. + Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits, and ensure proper documentation is filed and retained for compliance and audit purposes. **Essential Skills** + Two years of experience in shipping and receiving within a manufacturing environment. + Knowledge of import and export requirements. + Ability to obtain forklift certification. + Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel. + Experience utilizing an ERP system for purchase order receipt processing. + Demonstrated excellence in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. + Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with production work order and out-plant processing is highly preferred. + Knowledge of 7S methodology. + Skills in inventory, stockroom, forklift operation, cycle counts, material handling, data entry, and international shipping. + Computer skills and experience with RF scanners. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic and supportive team where you will have the opportunity to grow professionally while contributing to the success of an innovative manufacturing environment.
