Note: Logistics expereince is not necessary. Must have strong customer service experience (preferably over the phone), problem solving skills, with a desire to grow within a major technical company in downtown Nashville!

Job Description

Join a dynamic team within the Transportation Operations division, focused on managing freight movements across North American fulfillment centers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a rapidly growing area and contribute to a large-scale logistics network.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate freight movements and ensure high levels of customer service between multiple parties.Maintain continual, tactical communication and account management with external customers such as carriers and vendors.Pull data from various databases using tools like Excel, Access, SQL, and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis.Review data related to appointment and arrival times, making business decisions and process improvements based on findings.Create narratives outlining weekly findings and variances to goals, and present these in review forums.Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs while measuring and identifying activities performed.Lead initiatives to re-engineer business processes and identify root causes of defects to drive efficiency.Systematically escalate problems or variances in data to relevant owners and teams, ensuring resolutions are delivered.Develop performance metrics to assist in driving business results.Scope out business and functional requirements for tech teams to enhance software systems and tools.Essential SkillsBackground in transportation and logistics.Excellent customer service skills with a focus on operations.Strong computer and tech-savvy abilities.Problem-solving skills in logistics, transportation, intermodal, supply chain, freight, and dispatch.Proficiency in Excel and MS Office Suite.Additional Skills & QualificationsCustomer service experience with de-escalating and problem-solving.Experience managing customer accounts, conflict resolution, and escalation calls.Analytical experience with willingness to take calls and resolve inputs from various sources.Transportation and logistics experience is beneficial but not mandatory.Work Environment

Training hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, for the first two weeks. Post-training, the work schedule remains Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. This position requires working 100% in-office.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
