As a vital member of the Materials Team, the Stock Room Clerk III plays an essential role in supporting daily operations by ensuring the precise flow of materials and supplies throughout the organization. This position involves unloading and receiving incoming packages, assisting with order packing and shipping, maintaining and organizing inventory, and fulfilling job kits for the production floor.
ResponsibilitiesPackage and prepare orders for domestic and international shipment, completing required documentation and arranging carriers using UPS, FedEx, DHL, and other specified carrier software.Collaborate with Sales, Quality Control, and Production Control to coordinate the internal flow of finished goods and establish shipment priorities.Perform visual inspections of incoming goods for damage, verify items against packing lists and purchase orders, confirm required documentation, transact receipts in SAP, and prepare identification labels.Monitor inventory to identify and remove expired materials, coordinate with Purchasing for timely replacement orders, and participate in physical inventory counts and daily cycle counts.Conduct inventory checks through hand counts and weigh scales to ensure accurate records.Pull materials from stock using FIFO, assemble kits based on Production Order requirements, ensure proper identification and accurate counts, and perform related inventory transactions in SAP.Monitor and replenish Kanban staging areas and work with the Purchasing department to ensure materials are reordered according to established minimum stock levels.Operate Schleuniger cable cutting equipment to prepare cable to required lengths for production and sales orders.Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD-compliant stockroom to support a safe and efficient working environment.Essential Skills4+ years of experience in warehousing, shipping, receiving, or inventory control.High school diploma or GED required; desire to further education through college coursework, certificate programs, or Lean Manufacturing disciplines preferred.Advanced computer skills, including experience with ERP systems, MS Office, and general online research for problem-solving.Strong leadership skills with the ability to assist in training and mentoring stockroom team members.Effective planning and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.Ability to follow printed and electronic instructions accurately.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Strong communication and organizational skills.Physical ability to lift small to medium-sized packages and move heavier reels and pallets using a pallet jack.Additional Skills & QualificationsReliability, flexibility in working hours, and a positive 'can-do' attitude.Willingness to participate in and/or initiate improvement projects.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Why Work Here?Join a 3rd generation family-owned business that supports Fortune 500 and 100 companies.
