**Job Title: Shipper and Receiver** **Job Description**
As a shipper and receiver, you will be responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, ensuring their accuracy against purchase orders or invoices, and preparing necessary shipping documentation. You will coordinate with carriers for pick-up and delivery, manage inventory levels, and maintain accurate shipment records. Your role involves operating material handling equipment and ensuring the proper storage and handling of products.
**Responsibilities**
+ Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damages, defects, or discrepancies.
+ Verify accuracy of shipment contents against purchase orders or invoices.
+ Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs declarations.
+ Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-up and delivery of shipments.
+ Ensure proper storage and handling of incoming and outgoing products.
+ Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages.
+ Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
+ Communicate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments regarding shipping and receiving issues.
+ Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
+ Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.

**Work Environment**
You will work in a fast-paced warehouse and shipping/receiving area with hours from 6 AM to 2:30 PM or 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The role requires frequent use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment, involving standing, lifting, and moving heavy objects. Expect interaction with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams. The environment varies in temperature and noise levels, with a strong emphasis on safety and cleanliness.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.87/hr.
