Job Title: Shipper and Receiver

Job Description

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for preparing and packaging final products for shipment. This includes processing shipments electronically within the ERP system, printing packing slips and bills of lading, and scheduling LTL shipments when needed. Shipping Specialists verify correct products and quantities against the packing slip, ensuring all shipments are labeled, picked up by the correct carrier, and delivered safely without damage to the right address. The role requires efficient packaging to avoid waste and using best practices such as boxes, pallets, and crate building to protect products. Additionally, Shipping Specialists ensure all paperwork is accurately filled out, filed, and that shipping transactions are complete.

ResponsibilitiesVerify and sign off on packed items using order number, part numbers, descriptions, and quantities.Safely package smaller boxed items, maximizing protection while reducing packaging material waste.Pack, secure, and protect boxed or unboxed items on pallets or in crates for outgoing shipments.Modify or construct custom pallets or crates as needed from raw wood materials.Process shipments in the ERP system and print packing slips or bills of lading for carriers.Ensure packages are picked up correctly by the carrier.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-2 years of warehouse/shipping experienceForklift experience preferredSome carpentry experience preferredAbility to lift 75 poundsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is climate controlled and consists of a team of 15 people in the shop. The position operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a structured work-life balance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wentzville, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
