Shift Operator
**Job Title: Plant Equipment Operator** Job Description This position is responsible for safely and effectively operating plant equipment to ensure that products manufactured meet the quality and quantity standards set by the organization. The operator will follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and supervision instructions, complete required documentation neatly, and adjust equipment and process settings to ensure production is performed according to SOPs and instructions. Responsibilities + Operate plant equipment safely and effectively. + Ensure products meet quality and quantity standards. + Follow SOPs and supervision instructions. + Complete required documentation neatly. + Adjust equipment and process settings as needed. + Inspect and maintain equipment for safety and proper processing. + Perform routine analytical testing to control processes. + Complete daily shift production logs. + Work closely with a small team on each shift. + Run fermentation and make necessary adjustments. + Complete batch records, sterilizations, and product granulation processes. Essential Skills + Experience in machine operation. + Quality control expertise. + Documentation skills. + Mechanical aptitude. + Computer skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with hand and power tools. + Mechanical assembly knowledge. + Ability to read blueprints. + Understanding of gages and measurements. + Experience in pharmaceutical, packaging, or food manufacturing. + Knowledge of fermentation and biomedical processes. + High School Diploma or GED required. Work Environment Work in a bio-medical manufacturing plant that involves exposure to varying temperatures, dust, fumes, and moderate to loud noises. Follow basic safety precautions while working with heavy machinery, including driving a forklift. The role requires the ability to lift, pull, carry, and pick up objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bangor, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
