Shift Lead

Job Description

Are You Ready to Make It Happen at Mondelēz International?

Join our Mission to Lead the Future of Snacking. Make It With Pride.

Why this role matters (a lot)

We feed millions—safely, consistently, and with pride. As our Shift Leader, you’re the captain of a high-speed line that fuels SQCDSP results (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, People). You’ll grow people, crush problems, and make the floor hum.

If you love fast-paced teams, measurable wins, and building talent, you’ll thrive here.

How will you contribute :

What you’ll own (and win)

Safety first, always

As a Production Supervisor run daily start-ups, own hazard hunts, verify LOTO/machine guarding, and close near-miss actions like clockwork. You’ll be the role model for GMPs, HACCP/Preventive Controls, FSMA, and audit readiness—no compromises.

Legendary quality

Keep every spec on point: CCP checks, metal/X‑ray, code/date accuracy, net weight, allergen control. When something’s off, you contain it, identify the root cause, fix it, and lock it in with standard work.

Throughput that turns heads

Lead tier huddles, manage hour-by-hour boards, and deliver plan vs. actual. Drive OEE, yield, and changeover time with Lean/TPM tools (5S, SMED, Centerlining, AM/PM).

People leadership that lifts the room

Coach a skilled team (union or non-union). Set clear expectations, celebrate wins, and handle tough moments with fairness and speed. Keep your skills matrix healthy, so the line never skips a beat.

Maintenance, but make it proactive

Partner with maintenance on Autonomous Maintenance and Planned Maintenance. Tag defects, prioritize WOs, and verify fixes. Prevent today’s “niggle” from becoming tomorrow’s downtime.

Continuous improvement as a habit

Lead mini‑Kaizens and deliver real savings. Use 5‑Why/fishbone and basic SPC to eliminate chronic losses, then hardwire the win into SOPs and One‑Point Lessons.

What success looks like (your scoreboard)

Safety: Zero recordables, fast near‑miss closure, strong audit scoresQuality: Right‑first‑time %, low holds/complaintsDelivery: OEE ↑, changeover time ↓, schedule adherence on targetCost: Yield ↑, scrap & OT ↓, AM/PM compliance steadyPeople: Training completion, cross‑coverage depth, engagement up
