**Job Title: Sheet Metal Technician** **Job Description** Join a dynamic team working on the new construction of a medical building at a new masterplan community development in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Sheet Metal Technician, you will be responsible for the installation of duct and HVAC systems on a new commercial construction job site. **Responsibilities** + Install galvanized and ductwall sheet metal. + Handle both new construction and retrofit projects. + Hang VAV boxes, offsets, and dampeners. + Utilize hand and power tools such as tin snips and cordless drills. + Work from blueprints to ensure accurate installation. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 6 years of experience in new commercial construction, specifically in HVAC, sheet metal, and duct installation. + Proficiency in reading and working from blueprints. + Experience with sheet metal cutting, installation, and repair. + Ability to work independently and reliably transport oneself to different sites. + Must have tools and ppe **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in composite and spiral ductwork installation is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Our client is a reputable mechanical contractor with consistent work across the greater Jacksonville area. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm, guaranteeing 40 hours a week. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
