Job Title: Machine Operator up to $24/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shear Operator to join our team in Grove City, OH, supporting our weld and fabrication shop. This role involves contributing to the creation of custom-built ambulances for cities and counties across the United States. You will be responsible for performing duties related to machine operation and reading blueprint specifications.

Responsibilities

Operate shear machines efficiently and safely.Troubleshoot machines to ensure smooth operation.Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for job layout and construction.Use hand tools and air-powered tools such as grinders, sanders, rivet guns, and saws.Measure materials accurately using a tape measure and perform basic math calculations involving fractions.

Essential Skills

2+ years of shear operation experience.2+ years of machine troubleshooting experience.1+ years of experience using a tape measure.Strong understanding of blueprints and schematics.Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting fractions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience operating various air-powered tools.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean, organized, and divided into cells for different assembly tasks. The weld and fab shop is located at the back of the plant where all jobs begin. The operation is deadline-oriented, with tasks required to be completed every three hours. While the main manufacturing area is not climate-controlled and can get warm in the summer, it provides a structured and efficient work setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grove City, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
