As a Data Analyst Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role via the following:

Create, refine, deliver, and support dashboards and reports in Power BIManage data repositories and resources in SharePointEnsure effective and efficient user access to dashboards, reports, and data in SharePointAssist and support Power Apps and Power Automate development and integrationStructure and transform raw data into a format suitable for analysis within Power BI, often using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) functionsCollaborate with dashboard developers in designing visually appealing and interactive dashboards that allow users to filter, drill down, and explore data insightsCollaborate with report developers in building detailed reports with appropriate visualizations (charts, graphs, tables) to communicate key metrics and trends.Optimize queries and data refreshesProvide data analytics and key insights to internal and external stakeholdersHighlight and define performance indicatorsCompose user stories, acceptance criteria, test plans, and retrospectives to improve Agile development processesParticipate in and support user acceptance testing and production deploymentsPrepare training materials and conduct presentationsCreate and maintain all relevant documentationConduct market research and help define best practices for decision-making based on industry standardsMay serve as a project or task lead as necessaryMay mentor and serve as a subject-matter expert for junior staff when necessary

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Data Analyst Senior must have:
 

● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
 

● Experience: 5+ years of related experience
 

● Required Skills:

Deep experience with Power BI and related business intelligences tools and practicesExperience with using SharePoint sites, document libraries, and lists to support data sharing and collaboration.Proficiency with data source connectivity, including on-prem and cloud-based sources (SQL Server, SharePoint, Azure, et al.)Strong Excel background; familiarity with other M365 productsProficiency in Power BI Desktop and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for calculated columns, measures, and KPIsProficiency in Power Query (M Language) for data transformation and shapingAbility to collaborate with developers, data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholdersExcellent communication skills for translating technical issues into clear, actionable guidanceUnderstanding of ETL Processes, data pipelines, and data integrity best practicesAbility to present data points effectively and concisely to stakeholders at all levelsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsCapability to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to provide subject-matter expertise to other analysts

● Required Certification (Must possess or be able to obtain within 90 days of start):

CompTia Security+

● Nice to Have:

ITILv4 Foundations CertificationCompTia Cloud+Power Platform Certification(s)SharePoint Certification(s)

● Security Clearance Level: Must possess and maintain an active Secret or higher clearance
