Job Title: Animal Care TechnicianJob Description

This position is responsible for all aspects of animal care and ascites production, including tasks such as tapping, injection, cage changing, and cleaning, as well as maintaining nursery information.

ResponsibilitiesComplete goals and projects as assigned in a timely fashion.Demonstrate a good understanding of ascites production activities, such as priming and collecting, by performing related tasks with minimal supervision.Change cages and monitor animals to ensure their well-being.Supply the animals with food and water on a regular schedule.Assist with interdepartmental needs to ensure continued smooth operations.Maintain effective and professional communication and working relationships with company personnel.Maintain confidentiality.Follow the company\u2019s quality policy in all daily activities.Scrape dirty cages and prepare them for washing.Load the cage washer with scraped cages and run them through the cycle. This position operates within a laboratory and warehouse environment. The role requires the ability to routinely lift 35-50 lbs, wear personal protective equipment such as face coverings, gloves, and lab coats, and the ability to stand, sit, stoop, reach, and push or pull carts throughout the work shift. You may be required to work outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, to support business needs. Adherence to bio-safety and chemical hygiene practices is mandatory when working on the manufacturing floor or in laboratories. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.82/hr.
