**Job Title: Set Up Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Set Up Technician, you will work collaboratively with the team to assess priorities and execute tasks that support the needs of internal customers. You will be closely involved with the Maintenance team to support repairs and projects, maintain tooling, and participate in preventative maintenance work involving precision tasks such as handling dies and punches.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assess priorities and execute work to support internal customers' needs.
+ Collaborate with Maintenance to support repairs and projects.
+ Maintain and manage tooling.
+ Participate in preventative maintenance tasks involving precision tasks such as dies and punches.
+ Utilize problem-solving skills to ensure stable operation of the machine shop.
+ Report any quality, process, equipment, material, or labor concerns to the Production Supervisor.
+ Work closely with support staff, including Technicians, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Supervisor, and Materials/Warehouse, to resolve issues.
+ Review drawings, pictures, or physical parts and build/make parts based on provided information.
+ Prioritize work based on CMMS work orders and direct assignments.
+ Drive and sustain lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
+ Handle various tasks required to support plant operations.
+ Interpret prints and make parts; heat treat/draw back material; use precision tools.
**Essential Skills**
+ Troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
+ Ability to interpret blueprints.
+ Experience in preventive maintenance.
+ Capability to set up machines and change over.
+ Mechanical inclination and aptitude.
+ Experience with machine operation and setup, including lathe and press brake.
+ Skills in machine maintenance and operation.
+ Proficiency in using calipers and precision tools.
+ Fabrication and production knowledge.
+ Experience with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to collaborate with a team to assess priorities and execute tasks.
+ Proficiency in sustaining lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
+ Experience in interpreting prints and making parts.
+ Skill in heat treating and drawing back materials.
**Work Environment**
The role operates in a machine shop environment where precision and attention to detail are paramount. The position may involve working with various hand and power tools and requires adherence to safety protocols. **Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Blythewood, South Carolina.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $52000.00/yr.
paid time off. BCBS of SC. 401K match
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Blythewood,SC.
