Job Description
As a Set Up Technician, you will operate all machines in the Folding Department, ensuring product quality and accuracy throughout the production process. You will be responsible for performing hands-on daily machine maintenance, minor repairs, troubleshooting operating difficulties, and conducting machine wash-ups and general cleaning duties.
ResponsibilitiesOperate all machines in the Folding Department.Examine work orders to determine specifications.Inspect product quality according to quality guidelines.Check orders throughout production to ensure accuracy of labeling, printing, and packaging.Perform hands-on daily machine maintenance, changeovers, and set-up of machines.Conduct minor machine repairs.Troubleshoot minor operating difficulties including analyzing machine operations, inspecting products, and making necessary mechanical adjustments.Perform machine wash-up and other general cleaning duties.Accurately complete paperwork to record labor, time, and quality.Maintain accurate count of envelopes to boxes, cartons, and pallets.Pack envelopes uniformly and neatly into completed containers while keeping up with machine speeds.Place die-cut paper stacks into the machine feed.Essential SkillsMechanical skills and machine setup expertise.Preventive maintenance capabilities.Mechanically inclined with a capacity for troubleshooting.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and maintenance instructions.Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Capability to read and interpret ruler measurements.Additional Skills & Qualifications2-3+ years experience at each company.Demonstrated expertise as a Set-Up Operator or Auto Mechanic.5 years machine setup and/or repair experience.Ability to set up orders on production manufacturing equipment.Industry experience on RA and/or WD machines preferred but not required.Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization.Physical ability to walk and stand frequently during an eight-hour shift and move up to 50 lbs.Why Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
