Service Technician
Job Description **We are offering you:** + Permanent full-time position with competitive remuneration + Rewards & Recognition Program + Discounted health insurance with Medibank + Novated Leasing + Lifestyle discounts with Woolworths, Coles, Avis, Quest, Accor Hotels etc + Access to our Employee Assistance Program **How will you make a difference?** The Service Technician is accountable to the Production Supervisor for ensuring that all overhauls, repairs, testing and all other service-related activities are performed in a safe and efficient manger in accordance with all relevant company procedures and instructions. **What will your typical day look like?** + Overhaul, repair and test all products in accordance with the relevant drawings, task instructions, HSE requirements, Quality requirements, and test specifications/procedures; + Record all outcomes and sign/date all appropriate task and test specific documentation, during and at the completion of testing of finished assemblies/products; + Identify all products tested to indicate tested status, i.e. Batch No. and Serial Number stamped on body or product, after passing all tests; + Promptly advise the Production Supervisor of any inaccuracies in Test Specifications and Drawings, or problems being experienced in achieving the desired outcomes and results; + Promptly advise the Production Supervisor of the non-conformance of any components, tooling or equipment considered to be unsuitable for assembly and/or service; + Recommend to the Production Supervisor via a design change request form, product design changes if these are thought to improve quality or performance of the product; + Ensure that all customer goods, inventory stock, tooling and equipment are identified appropriately, and any expiration and/or service dates are compliant; initiating escalation where necessary; + Ensure the working environment is maintained in a clean and safe condition at all times; + Clean and maintain tooling, plant and equipment as required to ensure proper and safe functioning; + Devote and develop the best available skills to the interests and business of the Company to promote an image of professionalism, efficiency and courtesy to Customers, suppliers and other business associates, and other employees of the Company; + Actively participate towards the achievement of Branch performance goals, delivery timeframes and customer satisfaction; + Actively participate in team meetings; + Undertake any reasonable duties as may be required to support operational and business requirements; + May be required to work outside of normal working hours or additional hours to support operational requirements; + Domestic or International travel may be required; and + Any other duties directed by your manager. **What do we want to know about you?** + Certificate in Trade; + At least 2 years trade related experience in manufacturing or services environment; + Current driver’s license. **We are a 2024 Circle Back Initiative Employer – we commit to respond to every applicant.** Additional Information **What could you accomplish in a place that puts People First?** At Wabtec, it’s not just about a job - it’s about the impact you make.
