Service Technician
Job Title: Mechanical Service TechnicianJob Description

Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Service Technician, where you will play a critical role in the installation and service of preassembled machinery in various pack houses throughout Washington. This position involves extensive travel and the opportunity to work on exciting new projects.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in the installation of fruit and vegetable packing house equipment.Utilize blueprints to layout parts and perform mechanical installations.Troubleshoot and assemble machinery such as belt conveyors, sorters, bin dumping equipment, and fruit sizers.Investigate complaints, conduct tests, and resolve problems for existing accounts.Establish service by studying system requirements, ordering parts, completing installations, and performing acceptance tests.Maintain customer confidence by providing detailed documentation of service and installation reports.Participate in educational opportunities and departmental cross-training to update job knowledge.Essential SkillsProficiency with a tape measure and blueprints.Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Basic hand and power tool skills for securing nuts and bolts.Experience with MIG and TIG welders.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsElectrical/electronics knowledge is a bonus.Experience in field service and preventive maintenance.Ability to diagnose and repair equipment.Capability to perform mechanical assembly and rebuilds.Skill in reviewing equipment for shipping and ensuring smooth customer operation.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work primarily inside a pack house, handling installations and service. Expect mostly day shifts, with occasional night shifts based on workload. The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
