Job Description
In this position, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing problems on various types of heavy equipment and making necessary repairs. You will provide end users with a timely and efficient service experience, requiring overtime as needed. Work will be split between onsite at the Aspen shop and in the field at customer locations, accessed via a company-supplied truck, and may require overnight travel. You are expected to keep your knowledge and skills updated by attending factory training courses.
ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot problems on various pieces of equipment using your knowledge of hydraulics and electronics repair.Operate hand tools and equipment effectively.Initiate ordering of necessary parts to complete repairs.Complete required paperwork accurately and timely.Ensure all functions are correct, checking for leaks, loose fittings, and verifying tolerances and torque specifications.Test pressures and record them on the test sheet.Communicate with your supervisor regarding any job-related problems.Assist in scheduling daily tasks and promote future work to meet utilization requirements.Interact and communicate directly with customers.Recommend changes in procedures or job functions for improvement.Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.Essential SkillsClass A commercial driver’s license (CDL) clear of major violations or repeat minor violations.Strong mechanical aptitude with technical understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems, and primary equipment functions.Knowledge of basic hydraulics and 12-volt electrical systems.Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.Mechanical design and/or practical experience in hydraulics, structural, or mechanical layout.High level of mechanical aptitude related to the commercial truck industry.Ability to adjust pressures and reliefs.Additional Skills & QualificationsTechnical college degree desired or successful completion of a structured on-the-job training program.Two years of experience in field service of heavy equipment.Basic math skills.Ability to operate a saw, plasma cutter, and oxygen/acetylene torch.Ability to use a programmer for wiring stop/start systems.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Field Service Technicians typically work Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. This role requires working in environments exposed to extreme temperatures, various weather conditions, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises. Employees should be prepared for physical demands such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The workplace is climate-controlled where applicable.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $94000.00/yr.
