Service Technician
**Description** + Minimum of 3 years of industrial experience + Electrical and mechanical systems knowledge needed for D2D operations on the crane service + Conduct monthly/annual OSHA-compliant hoist and crane inspections. + Train to perform safety checks on equipment following OSHA standards. + Manage equipment data (serial/model numbers) to assist with quoting repairs and ordering parts. + Identify and procure replacement parts, perform repairs, and collaborate with customers and engineers. + Maintain, adjust, clean, and repair crane hoisting mechanisms and other crane components. + Test mechanical and electrical operations; lubricate/check oil levels. + Notify supervisor of defective parts or malfunctions; address safety/performance issues with customers. + Document all inspections, services, and work hours electronically using a tablet. + Travel and service equipment on-site 90% of the time, with 10% involving overnight stays. + Handle extended drive times based on territory. + Lift/carry 50+ pounds (e.g., money counting machines) in/out of client sites. + Perform physical tasks like kneeling, bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting up to 60% of the time. + Require hand/wrist dexterity for tools and part placement. + Spend 10% of time on desk/phone tasks like computer work, bench repairs, and scheduling. + Stand for long periods (up to 75%) while servicing equipment. **Skills** + Electrical + Mechanical + Troubleshooting + Hand tool + Preventive maintenance + Installation + Equipment repair **Additional Skills & Qualifications** • Troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and modifying overhead crane systems. • Perform documented safety inspections of specific types of equipment in keeping with OSHA guidelines. • Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment at customer owned facilities such as steel mills, auto manufacturing plants, foundries, large machine builders and steel processing facilities. • Work independently, or as part of a crew, to diagnose electrical and mechanical problems with equipment in heavy industrial manufacturing facilities. • Identify needed parts, repair procedures, communicate with the customer, interface with our engineering department, and perform the repair. **Experience Level** Intermediate Level **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
